Donald Trump claimed Britain didn’t “even have a navy” as he criticised Sir Keir Starmer's refusal to be drawn into the Iran war. FactCheck examines the real state of the UK’s defences.
Good article, but it doesn’t compare the UK to France.
There’s no comparison between tanks, aircraft or ships which would give a better understanding between the two countries.
An article that promised so much and delivered almost nothing…
Very vague article because simply talking numbers is pointless, more important is quality and how effective they are compared to the likely opposition
Warfare has changed. What we see from Ulraine and Iran seems to be a more remote war with Drones and other stuff, which I admit I don't understand.
There is still obviously a need for the older type actual contact type of equipment and personal.
But perhaps our military methods and equipment has changed in view of this ne warfare.
It would be very interesting to understand the comparison between armed forces in the UK and France. Unfortunately this article did nothing to help.
Hardly in depth
Makes me wonder what our armed forces have been doing with the £50+ billion we've been giving them every year.
