This realisation has come well after the genie has found its way out of the bottle. AI now has infinite and exponentially growing datapoints from which to harvest. It is a self-procreating and self-perpetuating behemoth of an industry.

If there is any small consolation it is that without a human steer, AI output will at best be average. What it can do is offer the complete novice a significant head start. Outputs improve as better quality source material joins the cornucopia and the growth trajectory is catalysed from 10,000 hours of deliberate practice to seconds at a keyboard.

The conundrum facing not just animators, but all creatives is that third parties reap the benefit of their efforts – but it is precisely that exposure which encourages their expression to flourish. If this is not sustained by a paying audience, their work constitutes a hobby rather than profession. Yet it is widespread exposure through technology platforms that is being exploited to their detriment: copyright laws have geographical boundaries and a single global breach of copyright paves the path to obsolescence.

A modern-day Luddite movement can only fight this with technology itself. Either the market is deliberately flooded with low quality material (chatbots excel at such tasks) to destroy the utility of AI as a co-pilot, or artists negotiate an agreement with technology providers to restrict access to and retrieve protected material as it is released. Even if the cost of doing so wasn’t prohibitive on an individual level, it would serve to impoverish shared culture. Drawing upon additional material resources upon which the technology industry is dependent also comes with moral hazard. For example, the use of municipal water supplies to regulate the temperature of data centres is undeniably perverse when human access to drinking water and basic sanitation is far from universal. Energy invested in such measures could be much better used in expanding frontiers in human creativity!

It is not lost on me that making my thoughts public simply feeds the AI beast...

Warships IRAN Bound. That was one of the orders of the scumbag reaper Netanyahu to Commander-in-Chief President Sir the Lorax Trump, he is going to bankrupt the Americans while enriching him self!during his last face-to-face visit. He couldn’t order him over the phone; encrypted devices are a joke. Congress didn’t need to know or approve. The country is hijacked by white-collar thugs. They got us electronically monitored, on the streets, at home, and on foot on the ground, and administration must have every country in full submission or find a way to flatten it. Once turned into a parking lot, watch the massive displacement again of tens of millions, the absence of law, order, and government, and fertile ground for insurgency through the gates of far-east Afghanistan and beyond at full bore.

Surrounding regions are destabilized into the Gulf countries, Africa, and Türkiye, the west gatekeepers essentially, then onward to Europe and back to our borders, and the cycle starts all over again while ICE keeps thriving.

Last twenty years displaced 35 million people, killed over two million, leaving veterans care and crippling borrowing to cover a 30–50 year runway ahead, as we just concluded Vietnam and Korean War VA care. We got the itch again — it’s addiction.

They are working on their next chess moves for the next ten-year runway. They have done the math on how much more needs to be approved to keep factories oiled, build stockpiles of missiles, and secure next profits for private contractors, with spreadsheets showing the curve ahead and something always needing to be in the pipeline
